The rose is tucked tightly below the first focal rose, pushing it in at a diagonal slant.
She pushed it completely against the foam, so it is not necessary to have a very long stem, which can begin to cause problems as you add more and more flowers.
She keeps the flowers as a tight knot because if she made them too long they would ecllipse the bouquet collar which is part of the design element.
If you wish to have a bigger bouquet, simply create a slightly bigger collar and leave the stems longer before inserting.
