Wedding cakes with fresh flowers should be prepared in a method that adheres to sanitation practice so not to contaminate the cake.  This tutorial can be found in Cake Gallery 1

To create the cake shown in the photo below, you will need the following fresh flowers and hard goods:

Begin by reading through this tutorial on preparing your flowers for insertion into cake.   Mist your flowers with Finishing Touch and allow to fully dry.

Cut your flower heads off the main stem.  Clean cut so each flower head only has about 1" of remaining stem.   Insert your colored Diamante Pins (with the orange pins in the yellow flowers and the yellow pins in the orange flowers) through the flower head and parallel to the stem.

As you can see, the opposite colors give a sparkle to the flower center.

Wrap the stem with white stem wrap.  Lay a toothpick against this stem and wrap only the top.  The wooden part of the toothpick is what you insert into your can.

Cut your wax paper into small 1.5" circles and cut a small "x" in the center of each one.  Always slip the round wax paper circles onto the base of the flower head before inserting the flower onto the cake.
