You can see I love using smaller heads of flowers massed in bright colors to play off the larger flower heads such as lilies and spider mums.
I remove all leaves that will fall below the water line.
I look for an opening in the center where I feel more flowers are needed.
You can see how the bright green of the chrysanthemums provide a wonderful contrast between the orange and the yellow.
The next open spot that needs to be filled is on the side where I'm pointing.
I place the second grouping of green mums in the opposite side of the first set.
Look down from the top to see how the color balance is coming.
I feel like I need a filler flower here in the center.
