How to Design a Rose Vase
Learning how to design a fresh rose vase is Floristry 101. All new designers are expected to learn how to produce beautiful rose vases in a short amount of time. I learned this trick from an experienced designer when I worked in my first flower shop!
Long stemmed roses are always in demand. A professional needs to learn how to create a vase design that stays in place (even with a wild delivery driver!) and you gain a better reputation the longer those flowers last. I'll show you how to do both!
This is a traditional dozen vase, but larger vases are created in the same manner, you just use a larger vase and more greenery.
You'll need:
A large Rose Vase (flared out vase tops are easier to design in)
- 12 stems long stem roses
- 12 stems leather leaf fern
- 12 stems tree fern
- 4 - 6 stems myrtle
- Paddle Wire (optional)
- 1/4" Clear Tape
- Leafshine
- Crowning Glory Flower Sealant
