How to Make a Flower Corsage

Wire and Tape Method

The corsage is filling out nicely, alternating between flower buds, heads, green leaves, filler flower and loops of ribbon.

I'm using a slightly smaller flower head on the sides.  I don't want to overwhelm the wearer of the corsage by just getting bigger and bigger.  One or two larger flower heads is usually plenty in a standard corsage.

Because I've wired each bloom, I have more freedom to place exactly where I want each bloom to be in the design.  Pressing the flower against the other taped stems lets them "stick" together slightly until I get them taped into place.

Here's a side view of the corsage.  Notice the depth and definition on the front side, but that it's fairly flat on the backside to lay against the shoulder.
