Bridesmaid Bouquets

Steel grass is a strong tall grass variety that looks wonder as a armature or collar around bridal bouquets.  I tried to take a photo that would give you a true sense of how long a single bunch is.

This single bunch is standing on my kitchen counter and nearly reached up to the top of the window.

You have to take more care when bending this, since it is so stiff that you can break it in two pieces rather than get a nice curved effect.

In the bridal bouquet tutorial, I show in great detail how I created the grass collar that surrounded the bouquet.

I'm going to only go around half the bridesmaid bouquet, since I want the bride's flowers to be the most prominent of the two.  I cut off the ends of some lily grass and inserted them as straight pieces coming out on the bottom left side.
