Peony Wedding Bouquet

Lily grass is one of my favorite greens to add to a wedding design.  Bear grass is much thinner and usually needs to be taped, but lily grass blades are broader and big enough to add a single piece at a time to a bouquet.

I created loops much like I did with the flat wire to create design interest and texture in this bouquet.  Secure the bottom with floral tape.

You can see I'm adding several loops at the top and to the left side of the bouquet.

I then balance the design with more loops at the bottom right of the bouquet.

These loops are meant to be seen in the final design, so take care not to overwhelm them with too many flowers crowded around them.
