For hand tied bridal bouquets to have the flowers flare out in a circular pattern, you need to give balance to the placement of each stem.Place the second stem of flowers on the opposing side  Take note of the the stems are crossed right about where the neck flares out to create the rounded shape of the vase.

Don't try to be too perfect.  Flower can have more of that "just picked from the garden" look if you cluster a few smaller heads of flowers together.

Here's the top view of the secondary flowers.You can see they cross with their respective stems resting against the bottom of the vase on both sides.
